“The humble will see their God at work and be glad. Let all who seek God’s help be encouraged. For the Lord hears the cries of the needy; he does not despise his imprisoned people” - Psalms 69:32-33 NLT
The death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, MN has sparked every emotion that one can imagine.

We’ve seen hurt, anger, unity, chaos, riots, looting, bigotry, hate, love, compassion, white supremacy, racism, confusion, and flat out silence.
We’ve found ourselves having to have quite a few difficult conversations with those we love and maybe even unfriending a few people on social media.
But on yesterday, June 2, 2020, we saw the masses respond to all the black community has felt and experienced over the last decade, and some.
We witnessed various signs of support and solidarity. If I’m honest, I was PLEASANTLY surprised.
June second two thousand and twenty will go down as a day in HISTORY.
Many individuals, companies, and corporations took part in what is now known as, “Blackout Tuesday”.
Based upon some quick research, I found that “#BlackoutTuesday” was a day promoted by activists to observe, mourn, and bring about policy change in the wake of the death of George Floyd.
However, upon a little more digging, I found that originally, Jamila Thomas and Brianna Agyemang dedicated the day and the hashtag, “#TheShowMustBePaused”, to disrupting the music industry for a day.
No matter how the day first came about, June 2, 2020 was a day of MASS reflection that quickly spread across social media and music platforms.

Yesterday also marked a day where ALL 50 states participated in protests in memory of George Floyd.

It was all BEAUTIFUL and made my heart a LITTLE less heavy.
Although we still have many days ahead, I decided to see the silver lining. What’s important NOW more than ever will be exercising your right to vote.
Yesterday, CANNOT be a day we allow to go in vain. We MUST CONTINUE to make progressive steps forward.
In making those steps, VOTING IS IMPORTANT. Primary elections are currently still among us and NOW IS THE TIME to help press upon change.
