#CrazyFaith

As I semi brainstormed on the subject matter of this blog, I initially felt as though things were being written and documented prematurely. Then I was quickly reminded of the various nuggets that I’ve heard throughout Pastor Michael Todd’s recent series ‘Crazy Faith’. If you are reading this and you are clueless as to who he is and what that series represents, I encourage you to hurry over to YouTube and check out the series beginning with part 1.

That’s AFTER you finish reading this of course! Hahaha

As I’ve listened to this series, it has really challenged me to go even further as it pertains to trusting God. Not to sound cliché or super spiritual, but there’s always room to go deeper and there are always ways to begin stretching, challenging, and growing your faith.

This season, I’ve decided to really begin declaring, decreeing, and truly believing what I know God has said to be true as it relates to my finances.

I know without a shadow of a doubt that I am called to step into a NEW REALM OF FAVOR for my family, and my friends, as it relates to my finances. I’ve always spoken over myself that I would be debt free, but I can’t wholeheartedly say that I’ve truly always believed that God would do it, especially as my debt has increased.

With the purchase of my first home, student loans, credit card debt, and my car note, I’ve questioned whether or not the money I have coming in is truly enough.

I’ve looked over my bills time and time again and questioned how in the world am I surviving. My bills are always paid, and somehow, I even manage to have something left over. It’s truly a testament as to how good God REALLY is even in the mist of my immaturity and mismanagement as it relates to my money.

If we are honest, we can wholeheartedly say that we’ve all decreed and declared various things over our lives that we SAY we believe God for BUT in actuality, would be pleasantly surprised if it truly came to pass.

But see, that’s been the biggest ‘gotcha’ for this ‘Crazy Faith’ series.

It makes no sense to declare things, that we do not truly believe God will come through on.

We speak it and we pray it but then we uproot the seed that was planted by sowing doubt and fear when things do not come to pass when WE believe they should.

We will say, “ I believe God for my healing”, “I believe God for job”, “I believe God for the house”, “I believe God for the spouse”, “I believe God for an increase in my finances,” but yet fail to make the proper steps towards actually fixing our minds to trust that God will do exactly what He said He would.

We do not follow His specific word and instruction in Habakkuk 2:2, which clearly instructs us to WRITE THE VISION. The instructions are plainly and clearly called out in the Bible which would lead me to believe it’s pretty important to write down that which we are believing God for.

In THIS season, I’ve vowed to walk in #CrazyFaith and began taking the necessary steps to really trust God and to show Him that I am really believing and trusting in His promises over my life.

My ultimate challenge to you is super easy. It starts, ends, and begins with this:

WRITE IT DOWN.

No matter how big or how small your vision for the future may be.... WRITE IT DOWN.

Have #CrazyFaith and be SPECIFIC!

Place the date and time on each vision you write down and sit and wait patiently for God to be God.

Your patience will be KEY!

Sometimes, the miracle working power of God is immediate, and sometimes you have to WAIT!

Abraham’s promise for a son was not an instant blessing. He waited.
